The much-anticipated SummerVines Festival is back, ready to welcome you to McLaren Vale wine region for the ultimate summer escape this January! Surrounded by rolling vineyards and the sparkling crystal-blue waters of the Gulf of St Vincent, SummerVines invites you to dive into an unforgettable celebration of fresh vibrant wines, local cuisine and coastal charm. Summer is the perfect chance to experience the laid-back vibe, world-class wines, and extraordinary culinary delights that make McLaren Vale wine region a South Australian icon.
Now in its third year, SummerVines 2025 promises an exciting eleven-day program packed with wine, food, and entertainment, all infused with the region’s signature coastal charm. From 17–27 January, immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of McLaren Vale and discover how its stunning seaside locale inspires its bright, contemporary wines and thriving farm-to-table food culture.
With 24 unique and unforgettable experiences waiting, here’s just a taste of what’s in store:
Beresford Estate - Lavish Lawns
Escape to the lush Lavish Lawns at Beresford Estate for a day of relaxation and indulgence! On Saturday, January 18, from 10 AM to 5 PM, enjoy live music from 1–4 PM as you unwind on the sprawling green lawns—rugs provided or bring your own for added comfort. Enhance your day with the optional Picnic & Sip package, featuring discounted sit-in prices, or visit the outdoor gin bar showcasing 23rd St spirits. Savour complimentary tastings of Beresford's new Grillo and Pecorino wines, and if you’re looking for the perfect getaway, take advantage of the special accommodation offer: stay three days, pay for two (available January 16–20). Journey Home Wines A Donkey-Led Wine Adventure
Embark on a delightful Walking Donkey Wine Tour in the heart of McLaren Vale, where charm meets adventure! Wander through lush vineyards with your new donkey companions, Agatha and Winsome, who dutifully carry your wine haul (or maybe just your snacks). Along the way, pause to sip and savour the region’s finest drops, paired with mouthwatering local delicacies. Woodstock Dumpling Days
Gather your friends and family for a relaxed afternoon at The Lawns at Woodstock, nestled among native gardens and picturesque vineyards. This SummerVines, Woodstock partners with Lucky Dumpling for 'Dumpling Days,' a celebration of wine, food, and friends on Saturdays, January 18 and 25. Indulge in delicious bites, fine wine, and great company in the heart of McLaren Vale. Bookings are recommended for this unforgettable experience.

Tour Down Under at Clink
Calling all Tour Down Under fans and roadies! The Tour Down Under Goes past CLINK in McLaren Vale's Main Street not once but three times for the Men's stage 5….It’s going to be a buzz! With live music from our favourites Pedro and Maverick (DJ & Bongo duo). Relax under the shade of the majestic fig trees and get prime position to watch the TDU in McLaren Vale…CLINK and you’ll miss it 3 times. All, while enjoying delicious street food, local wine and cocktails.

Oliver's Taranga: Taranga Terroir Tour

Hop on ‘Ollie’ the Golf Buggy to explore the historic vineyard, guided by the rich heritage and sustainable viticulture practices of one of Australia’s oldest family-run vineyards. Wander among the vines, tasting wines right where they are grown, and enjoy a premium wine tasting paired with light bites in the stunning Cellar Door. Chapel Hill - Sunday Picnic at the Chapel
Chill on the lawns of Chapel Hill entertained by the soulful sound provided by DJ Es'Ay. Special guest set provided by Chapel Hill's Chief Winemaker and resident vinyl music tragic, Michael Fragos. Bring a rug, outdoor games and enjoy your picnic while soaking up the incredible views of McLaren Vale. Chapel Hill Picnic Providore will be stuffed with local produce or bring your own feast and settle into a Sunday Church Picnic with a difference.

Geoff Merrill Sunday Sessions
Join the SummerVines Sunday Session at Merrill’s for a relaxing day of live music, Indonesian street food, cheese platters, lawn games, and, of course, great wine! This family-friendly event welcomes everyone, with fun for kids who can feed the resident geese, and even your leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Free to attend, reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome for unreserved seating.

Grounded Cru - Wines & Wood Oven
Join Grounded Cru for Vibe & Vines at their new McLaren Flat cellar door. Guests can enjoy Fleurieu Pizza, live acoustic music by Ben Kilsby, and Grounded Cru wines in a relaxed, family- and dog-friendly setting. Tickets include a choice of pizza and a glass of wine. While bookings are recommended, walk-ins are welcome for any unreserved seating. This event is part of the SummerVines Festival, celebrating our region’s exceptional food and wine.
