From 1 to 31 August 2024, McLaren Vale will be transformed into a haven of creativity, hosting a myriad of exhibitions that offer an evocative celebration of our dynamic local art scene. Each event promises a mesmerising visual feast, set against the backdrop of stunning vineyards and rolling hills.

New Friends at Hugo Wines

This exhibition showcases the works of Amanda Ford and Debbie Savage, both established acrylic artists showcasing their art at Hugo Wines for the first time. The artists explore various themes and mediums, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary art.

Wearing Life Lightly at Red Poles

Hosted at Red Poles Gallery, this exhibition features five painters—Georgina England, Angie Harrison, Amy Sibenaler, Jamuna Stevens, and Nikki Wieland. They explore the act of surrender through landscapes, figuration, abstraction, and sculpture, inviting viewers to engage with art that transcends definitive meaning.

Under the Moon and Stars at Pirrammima Winery

Experience the magic of night through art that captures the ethereal beauty of nocturnal landscapes. This exhibition brings together artists who find inspiration in the night sky, offering works that are both mystical and serene. Featuring works from Louise Johnston showcasing paintings and drawings alongside Tabatha Knight with ceramic sculptures.

Light on the Landscape at Kay Brothers Wines

This exhibition focuses on the interplay of light and the natural environment. The artist Sarah Price, presents works that highlight the changing light in various landscapes, creating a dynamic visual experience that emphasises the beauty of the natural world. Sarah explores the changing colours, highlights and shadows in familiar landscapes by painting the morning and evening light.

Pieces of Me at Sabella Vineyards Cellar Door & Cucina

An introspective collection by Mars Ellis, that delves into personal narratives and identity. Each piece is a reflection of the artist’s journey, providing a deeply personal and relatable experience for the audience.Exhibited at Sabella's in McLaren Vale, you can enjoy a glass of wine and a slice of pizza while experiencing these artworks.




The d’Arenberg Cube

A unique and interactive exhibition space, the d’Arenberg Cube hosts various art installations that challenge conventional boundaries and invite visitors to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and innovation. Chester Osborn, 4th Generation Chief Winemaker at d'Arenberg has created 80 artworks that stand on all 5 levels of the d'Arenberg Cube.

Flow State at Swell Brewing Co. Taphouse & Brewery

Using sculpting mediums, acrylics and glass coatings of resin, Hannah Bailey creates mixed media aerial seascapes exploring water worlds that are fashioned in her minds eye. Inspired by the ever changing nature of the ocean, Hannah celebrates the human connection to the sea and it’s water dwelling inhabitants, with gratitude for the ocean’s unquestioning gifts of power and peace.




Light at DogRidge Cellar Door & Gallery

A thematic exploration of light as both a subject and medium. Artists James Cowley, Lynn Lobo, Tori Wade and Jen Wright use various techniques to manipulate and play with light, resulting in pieces that are illuminating in every sense. Hosted at DogRidge Cellar Door & Gallery come and see light through the trees, Australian campfire light, refracted light beams through glass and how the artists have managed to fill their works with LIGHT and all it uncovers.




Softly Spoken at Hither & Yon

Through painting and photography, Natalie Andersen and Mary Zammit capture light, colour and movement within the landscape - creating visually compelling works that are both subtle and powerful.

Wine, Art & Sculptures at Berg Herring Wines

Experience the fusion of fine wine and art at this exhibition, where sculptures and paintings complement the wine-tasting experience, providing a sensory feast for visitors.Wine, Art & Sculptures is a collection of artworks by Sellicks Beach locals, Emma Fält (mixed media artist) and Clancy Warner (sculptor), displayed at Berg Herring Cellar Door in a converted 162-year-old heritage church, overlooking the rolling hills and ocean of Sellicks Beach.

Made by Mignon - Art and Wine at Geoff Merrill Wines

Held at Geoff Merrill Wines, this exhibition showcases a collection of original work in various mediums, uniquely presented and inspired by the vineyards, the wine and its creators along with Still Life paintings featuring stunning Native Flora.
