PANNELL ENOTECA BRINGS SOI 38 TO THE VALE
Pannell Enoteca, the home of S.C. Pannell, Koomilya and Protero, is bringing Adelaide-favourite Soi 38 to McLaren Vale for a summer like no other.
From Tuesday, 4 January to Sunday, 30 January 2022, the Thai restaurant will be offering some of its sought-after dishes amongst the vines, providing visitors and locals with the chance to enjoy some of the Vale's most celebrated wines by winemaker Stephen Pannell with regionally-sourced food.
Brought together by Fiona Lindquist, the collaboration is a nod to Pannell Enoteca's approach of celebrating what is grown and made in the region. “Summer sees the Vale full of families and friends, and we wanted to create an experience where people can enjoy amazing wines in a relaxed environment with exceptional food normally only available in the city,” Fiona said.
“Soi 38's vision for food aligns beautifully with our ethos for producing wines that are centred on our region and vineyards, so this collaboration really showcases what we do and why we do it – creating wines that suit the food we make and the way we live.”
As the first event to be held at Stephen and Fiona Pannell's newly named cellar door – Pannell Enoteca, Soi 38 Executive Chef, Terry Intarakhamhaeng, said he was excited to be able to bring what he does to the region for the month-long collaboration.
“Our menu is based on using only the best local ingredients and doing so in a way that reflects the tradition of sharing seasonal foods with family and friends, so what better way to do this than at Pannell Enoteca,” Terry said.
“Like Stephen and Fiona's wines, our food is about exploration and enjoyment, so their Olivers Road vineyard is the perfect spot for people to escape too for a few hours over summer.”
With the menu on offer from 11.30am to 3pm daily, visitors will be able to enjoy summer wine varietals and Thai favourites such as lobster spring rolls, Penang beef curry, satays and papaya som tum salad.
“Pannell Enoteca is all about bringing people, place and experience together through exceptional wines, and we look forward to doing just that this summer,” Fiona said.
