Get busy with botanicals in a gin masterclass that includes your very own bottle to take home.
Settlers Spirits is hosting the two-hour classes at its McLaren Vale distillery. Enjoy views over the vineyards and Willunga hills while discovering combinations of 12 locally sourced botanicals, among them coriander leaf, yuzu, pomegranate and blood orange.
You'll be guided through the process by owner and head distiller Rowland Short. Classes are small, interactive and plenty of fun; you'll have ample time to ask questions and enjoy at your leisure.
Create your own gin recipes and prepare your favourite in a 200ml bottle to go, then join your fellow distillers at the end of the session for a cheese plate featuring products from the surrounding region.
The perfect accompanying tipple? A gin and tonic, of course. Settlers Spirits won gold for its Settlers Yuzu and Settlers Sloe Gin at the 2019 Australian Gin Awards.
The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where the McLaren Vale Region is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
