Coast & Co is a new tourism venture on the Fleurieu that mixes 4WD, hiking, luxury accommodation and e-biking, in a mission to help visitors discover the soul of the region.

Partnering with Primo Estate, we are just about to launch 8 spectacular new electric mountain bikes, giving visitors to the region an easy way to cruise along the Shiraz Trail and visit Cellar Doors in style. Coast & Co is looking for a casual to manage the E-Bike operation around 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow. Responsibilities include preparing bikes for hire and tours, briefing and training customers on the e-bikes, taking customers on guided tours of the Shiraz Trail, plus setting up and down at the end of each day. Role will require someone with an interest in wine and tourism, knowledge of and ability to engage people in the region, plus a good level of outdoor fitness. An understanding of social media and ability to promote the tours will also be advantageous. Will suit someone with cellar door, hospitality and/ or tourism experience. Role has potential to grow.

SETTLERS SPIRITS Casual Distillery Door Sales Assistant

  • Settlers Spirits is a leading Australian Small Distillery producing small batch, artisan spirits including a large range of gins, whisky, rum, liqueurs.  We appeal to consumers across a broad age-range but predominantly 25-40 age bracket.

  • The Distillery Door is undergoing an upgrade in preparation for Summer 2019, and we are looking to increase opening hours in 2019 during peak times. 

Job Description

We are looking for that special someone who will work front of house in our Distillery Door.   If you are energetic, somewhat experienced, know a bit about craft spirits, like talking with customers and prepared to work as part of a team who chip in to get the job done, you’re going to feel at home.  You must be capable of serving multiple people at the same time and large groups when necessary.  Other jobs will include prep work for group tastings, restocking.  We wouldn’t say no to someone with bar and cocktail experience, in fact we would love it!

You must have a current RSA Certificate.

This is a casual position working on Saturday and Sunday 11.00 – 5.00 p.m. with the potential for more shifts as we grow and if it works well for both of us.

Core hours are Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays from 12 noon to 4pm, however a high level of flexibility is required to cover other cleaning staff when they are on leave, during busy periods, and when the company hosts larger functions.

Job Title:  Vineyard Manager – Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards, McLaren Vale

The position reports to the business owner and the ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, articulate, flexible, well organised and focused on continuous improvement.  There is also a need for strong planning, management, communication and supervisory skills.

The salary package is commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a motor vehicle and mobile phone.

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of vineyard establishment, operations, improvement and maintenance.
  • Management of Pruning, canopy manipulation & trellis maintenance throughout the season.
  • Operation of tractor/s and respective vineyard machinery for all seasonal operations.
  • Irrigation operation and maintenance as required.
  • Pest and Disease monitoring and control.
  • Current drivers and forklift plus chemical users licence.
  • Support network and a drive to continue learning (with appropriate support).
  • Planning, management and communication skills with ability to follow instructions efficiently and professionally.
  • Self-motivation and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to supervise permanent vineyard workforce, including seasonal workers (pruners) & contractors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good record keeping skills plus be able to use standard computer software.
  • Management of SAW/Entwine/Grapeweb programmes

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all relevant WHS/OHS laws and regulations.
  • Current First Aid Certificate

Leading McLaren Vale winery, Wirra Wirra is looking for a Cellar Door Supervisor to fill a full time position working Tuesday – Saturday at our historic and award-winning  Cellar Door.   

Reporting to the Cellar Door & Direct Sales Manager, this role encompasses:

  • Daily Operations of CD Tue-Sat
  • Working in conjunction with the Cellar Door Manager to achieve Sales budgets
  • Stock orders /Stock takes, reported to Production Manager
  • Working with all members of the Cellar Door team to ensure they are educated, motivated and willing ambassadors for the Wirra Wirra brand.
  • Preparing the Cellar Door roster
  • Maintenance of the Bellringer Order form for Website, Newsletter and Cellar Door
  • S.O.P’s – Developed together with Cellar Door Manager, and updated on a regular basis
  • Coordinating packing and processing campaigns and general orders.
  • Ordering and maintaining stock and general use items for packaging and POS
  • Liaising with Bus and Tour companies
  • Assisting in tours and tastings for VIP customers.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Strong Cellar Door and Events experience with supervising a Cellar Door team an advantage
  • Good wine knowledge
  • Capacity to work in a busy and varied role
