We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand / Dishy with a professional manner, and a positive attitude.

Key duties will include:

  • Maintain cleanliness of all food service areas
  • Ensure counter areas are well presented and refreshed at all times
  • Washing and polishing dishes and glasses

Desired Experience :

  • Previous Kitchen Hand experience
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  • Impeccable presentation and grooming
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety, and Hygiene
  • High level of flexibility
  • Ability to work hard and take direction

Cellar Door & DTC Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic cellar door sales person with DTC experience to join our small team in the role of Cellar Door and DTC manager.  This is a rare opportunity to be an integral part of a growing wine business with winery and cellar door based in Willunga, and to be involved at the ground level in the development and execution of a new wine brand and cellar door on Kangaroo Island.

Reporting to the owners you will be responsible for managing and promoting both cellar doors as premium wine destinations and working with the sales and marketing manager to drive DTC wine sales through all channels including social media and to increase membership of the new wine club.

Essential criteria for the position include:

  • Solid cellar door experience
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the wine industry
  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
  • Creative approach to growing cellar door engagement, visitation and growing our wine club membership
  • Social media savvy
  • Experience with CRM and wine club managment
  • Experience in budget and report preparation
  • Experience managing staff and preparing rosters
  • Excellent at writing and talking (on the phone and in person)
  • Fun outlook on life. Not being prone to sea-sickness a positive
  • Organised with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Hands-on self-starter and self-manager with positive attitude
  • Sound computing skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Possession of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle. Boat license handy too.
  • An interest in food and wine
  • Wine industry knowledge and experience highly desirable

The role is full time and McLaren Vale based (plus regular visits to KI) and will include some weekend work and public holidays.

Administrator (part-time)

An opportunity has arisen for an organised, self-motivated individual to work from home providing general administration support on a part-time basis. This is a varied, interesting role working as part of a successful team and would be ideal for someone with previous experience within the wine industry and who lives in or close to McLaren Vale.

Key responsibilities:

Customer Service (domestic and export)

  • receiving customer orders and arranging deliveries (domestic and export)
  • obtaining export product approvals
  • sending samples (domestic and international)
  • approving invoices

Grape/wine administration

  • liaising with growers, winemakers and winery
  • booking bottlings
  • managing and ordering dry goods (labels, cases etc.)

Stock Management

  • stock shipments report
  • stock-take

Local Compliance

  • insurance and licence renewals
  • calculating levies

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working for a wine production company – e.g. knowledge of WET and export processes
  • Proficiency in EZYWine software is desirable
  • Customer service experience
  • Good communicational skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Good knowledge of IT systems, especially Excel

DJ’s Grower Services is a leading Viticulture and Horticulture Agronomy and input supply business based in McLaren Vale and Woodside.

We have the requirement to offer paid internship positions to appropriately qualified Horticulture/Viticulture undergraduate and post-graduate students. Being an Agronomy business, we are looking for 4 Interns with a mature, practical understanding of the local industry from a field production perspective.

Ideally, these Students should:

  • Have ambition to pursue a career in local Horticulture/Viticulture.
  • Have a sound understanding of production Horticulture/Viticulture,
  • Be off family vineyards/Orchards,
  • Have excellent communication skills,
  • Have a strong work ethic and be flexible,
  • Can represent DJ’s Grower Services in a professional manner, within the broader industry.

We see this as a wonderful way for Students to involve themselves in the Industry, from a technical viewpoint.
