Port Noarlunga
Picturesque steep red sandstone cliffs, a spectacular rivermouth and a fine, sandy stretch of beach has proven attractive to holidaymakers since the 19th century, with the township commanding as much attention today.
Port Noarlunga is a popular fishing spot, with the intersecting mouth of the Onkaparinga River kissing the sea; it’s a popular haunt for catching smaller salmon, flathead, bream and small mulloway.
The Port Noarlunga jetty extends out to a narrow 400-metre long reef, which is popular for snorkelling and scuba diving and which is home to more than 200 marine plant species and 50 fish species.
