The blueprint for our new tasting room was to allow for an interactive and relaxed rapport between cellar door team and guests. Built for banter and wine tasting, wrapped in history, but modern and comfortable.

We think of all of Woodstock as a cellar door, but The Stocks Tasting Room is the heart.

Completed in March 2018 by Spencer Building Group, George Spencer brought our rough sketches to life. The result? A flagship venue to showcase our product in a space that truly reflects the quality of and ethos behind our wines.

The room is wrapped in history by proxy of the historic Jarrah that contours its walls. Purchased in the form of 70 year old brandy vats by Doug Collett in 1974 from Mildara winery in Mildura, Victoria, the WA Jarrah timber was put to use for our fortified production for many years more, before the sacrificial sawing.

A number of the original Jarrah brandy vats remain, and are still proudly nurturing a number of our fortifieds today, while their siblings form the perfect historical backdrop for tasting our old vine McLaren Vale wines.
