For four decades we’ve nurtured our vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. During this time our philosophy and reputation has been built on growing grapes of exceptional quality. Our mission now is to showcase quality, varietal expression and natural regional diversity within a range of biodynamic and organic premium wines that will indulge lovers of the finest drop. It’s been heads down, tails up for everyone at Paxton, for as long as we can remember, and while we have been working we’ve become one of McLaren Vale’s most respected wine producers.
The home of Paxton Wines is historic Landcross Farm, located at the gateway to McLaren Vale. The property is a historically significant 1840's sheep and wheat farm which encompasses a site dotted with original limestone and pug buildings. Traces of the original road to Willunga are still evident around the Farm and provide a fascinating window into the early days of the colony.
Our Cellar Door has commanding views to be enjoyed over the vales and Willunga Hills. Our packaging reflects the traditional Wool Bale stencil originally used at Landcross Farm for the branding and grading of wool. The tasting room is located in the original shearing shed and the grounds surrounding it have been landscaped and developed in sympathy with the heritage of the property. Paxton Landcross Farm is now a-buzz with activity once again and is a showpiece of the district.
The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where the McLaren Vale Region is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
