The Mitolo story began in 1999, when Frank Mitolo met one of Australia’s future winemaking talents, Ben Glaetzer. Together they fashioned a dream of making the ultimate expression of McLaren Vale’s rich provenance of soils and Mediterranean climate, and taking these wines to the world.
The new Mitolo tasting room offers far more than the traditional cellar door tasting experience. A luxury, premium environment where the expert team takes guests on a journey through the Mitolo range, telling the story of each wine and explaining what makes them so unique and sought after both in Australia and overseas.
The tasting bar can accommodate 18 people and there’s also a private tasting booth that seats 10. Wine Club members are given priority for the booth. Single group bookings of up to 10 can be booked in advance. The new venue also has a private 14-person dining space for group bookings of 10.
Mitolo’s Wine Tasting Experience:
There are three structured tasting experiences, each one named after the roads surrounding the vineyards from where Mitolo’s fruit is sourced. “Hahn Road” featuring five wines from the Jester range, “Paddy’s Row” - from the Small Batch range. “Flour Mill Road” - from the Single Vineyard range, all reds plus accompaniments from the kitchen ranging from $15-$25.
