Kay Brothers

For a truly traditional winemaking, cellar door and premium red wine experience in the heart of McLaren Vale, visit Kay Brothers Winery.

Established in 1890, Kay Brothers is the oldest winery in McLaren Vale still in founding family hands.

Specialist red winemakers, the estate grown wines are made from the 22-hectare Amery Vineyard, with Shiraz, including the 1892 Block 6 planting, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nero d' Avola, Grenache, Mataro and Muscat Blanc. The Kay Brothers winemaking philosophy is to retain the characters and fruit quality from the vineyard, to make balanced, fruit-driven wines capable of great ageability. Proudly using the original 1890s open fermenters and 1932 Basket Press in our heritage stone cellars.

Our cellar door provides complimentary and structured tastings for groups under 6 people.

For groups 6-15 people a formal booking is required and a fee of $5.00 per head is applicable.

The maximum group size is 15 people.

Buses and limousines by appointment only.

The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where the McLaren Vale Region is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
