Foggo Wines

“Our fave in the ‘little known hidden gem’ category…..no flashy architecturally designed cellar door, restaurant or tourist buses, just beautiful handcrafted wines.” J.F Heard

Small in stature, but big in heart, our independent winery produces some of McLaren Vale’s most exceptional hand-crafted wines and fortifieds. We are the home of the big bold Shiraz, the spicy Cabernet Sauvignon, the dark and beguiling Grenacha/Syrah/Mourvedre GSM, and the light and lovely Sangiovese Rose. We also have 10 uniquely different Foggo Fortifieds to choose from – giving us the mantle of McLaren Vale’s ‘Home of the Fortified.’

Foggo’s 20-acre boutique vineyard is located in the heart of McLaren Vale at Foggo Road, just around the corner from Pizzatecca and Settler’s Gin.  Our vines are watered, nourished, mulched and harvested in harmony with the seasons and with minimal intervention. Our heritage vines are some of the oldest in the district – and are carefully hand-picked each vintage.

Join us each weekend – and by appointment during the week– for a wine tasting or fortified flight – served by the fire in winter, or under the gum trees in summer. Wine tastings are priced at $10 for five generous licks of red and white wines of your choice on the tasting list.

We have two fortified tasting flights to choose from:

  • The Hipster Collection - Young Gun White Fortified, La Dolce Vita Foggocello, Little Sweetie Late Harvest Golden Botrytis, The Gilded Goddess Apera and Oblivion Syrah Fortified.
  • The Heritage Collection - Tawny, The Quiet Achiever Tawny, Rare Muscat, Golden Muscat, FIGJAM Topaque.

Fortified flights are priced at $20 for five fortifieds matched with five tasty bites, and include a $5 voucher off your first fortified bottle purchase.
