Beresford Estate Tasting Pavilion

Beresford Estate Tasting Pavilion

Beresford Wines was established in 1985, they began production in 1989 after purchasing the old Horndale Winery in Happy Valley. Originally built in 1896 by the Horn Brothers, it is still one of the oldest working wineries in the Adelaide region. After spectacular success in the export market Beresford outgrew the site and in 1998 a 5000 Tonne winery was built in Langhorne Creek to ensure the very best production.

30 years after its inception, Beresford has returned to McLaren Vale, now at home in the newly built Tasting Pavilion. Today our handcrafted approach ensures continued production of wines that are ‘Intensely Passionate, Quintessentially McLaren Vale’.

Nestled amongst the Estate vineyards stands Beresford Homestead, a homestead comprising of two luxurious private living quarters, open plan Gallery Room and underground cellar. Outside there are two enclosed court yards and the Bell Tower deck provides 360-degree views of the entire Estate.

The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where the McLaren Vale Region is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
