Sellicks Beach marks the location where the Mount Lofty Ranges meet the sea. Steep cliffs give way to a long expanse of sandy beach. This part of the Fleurieu coastline is renowned for its plentiful fishing, surfing and boat launching facilities.
Cars with beach passes are also permitted on the beach below the Esplanade – one of the few ‘drive-on’ beaches in South Australia.
The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where the McLaren Vale Region is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
