In 2017, the MVGWTA Director Elections and Ballot will be held electronically. Any Member who believes they are entitled to vote, and who has not received an electronic Notice of AGM will be required to supply MVGWTA with an appropriate email address on or before Wednesday 1st November 2017 in order to receive access to the 2017 Ballot. Ballots can only be cast electronically in 2017. Members are encouraged to contact MVGWTA directly to ensure contact details are correct.
The following positions fall vacant at the AGM and a ballot will be held to fill them:
Members who wish to nominate will need to contact the Returning Officer who will supply the corresponding Nomination Form for the sector. Please contact Chris Bright: firstname.lastname@example.org
In 2017, Members are advised that the Returning Officer will determine each candidate’s sector (as between grape and wine) based upon current majority contributions to levy payment (for the Grape or Wine sectors). Current board members who renominate will remain in the sector in which they were elected.
Nominees will be requested to supply a headshot and up to 250 words in favour of their election.
Details regarding the Voting Procedure and Ballot will be circulated to all Members within seven (7) days after the nominations closing date. In 2017, the ballot will be administered via a secure, independent third party electronic voting system. Members will be provided with a weblink to the ballot, as well as a randomly generated PIN which is unique to their business and industry sector.

Considerable efforts have been made by MVGWTA over the past 12 months to improve the quality of the Ballot Register, particularly for the Grape Sector.
Any Member who believes they are entitled to vote, and who has not received the electronic Notice of AGM is welcome to contact the the Association's offices to discuss further. Grape Members will be required to provide proof of Levy Payment (grape payment receipt denoting Levy deduction paid by winery/purchaser).
